History Background

Thai Yoga Massage was developed by Buddhist monks in Thailand as a healing modality 2500 years ago. Thai Yoga Massage uses passive stretches and gentle pressure along the energy lines to increase flexibility, release muscle and joint tension deep down, and restore balance to the energy system. Thai Yoga Massage should not be confused with a traditional massage.

How does a Thai Yoga massage proceed:
Thai Yoga Massage takes place on a mat lying on the floor.  It is recommended to wear something comfortable, loose-fitting (T-shirt and loose pants).

 

It starts with contacting your body in order to specifically address your individual needs during the massage. Gentle twists and stretches in the side, seated or prone position release stagnations and help the energies to run freely again. At the end, you will lie back again in the supine position to enjoy a soothing head massage.
